Mashhad is Iran’s second city and home to the shrine of Imam Reza, which draws pilgrims from across the Gulf. From Dubai it is one of the routes we book most — for families on a ziyarat, for groups travelling together, and for people simply going home.

The flight is the easy part. What the desk adds is keeping a party together on one fare around dates that cannot move, and being the people who call you if the airline changes the schedule.

What the desk does for Mashhad

Dubai to Mashhad, and back

Both directions have their own route page here, with the fares last found.

Groups on one fare

Seats worked for the whole party rather than nine bookings at nine prices.

Mahan Air’s agent

We are Mahan Air’s General Sales Agent, so changes on its flights are handled first-hand.

Three languages for pilgrims

Farsi, Arabic and Urdu at the desk, every day from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Planning a Mashhad trip

  1. 1

    Fix the dates

Religious occasions and Iranian holidays fill flights early. Tell us which days cannot move.

  2. 2

    Count the party

The exact number, and the ages of children and infants.

  3. 3

    Check every passport

Names as printed, validity dates, and the entry rules for each nationality in the party.

  4. 4

    One person decides

Group fares expire — choose who says yes before the quote arrives.

Questions we get asked

Which airport is Mashhad?

Mashhad’s Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport, code MHD. It is the only commercial airport for the city.

How early should a group book?

As soon as you can fix the numbers. On busy dates the cheapest seats go first, and a large party needs more of them than anyone.

Can you add a hotel?

Ask the desk with your dates and the size of the party, and we will tell you what we can arrange alongside the flights.

Can everyone in the group pay separately?

Often, but it depends on the fare. Raise it early and we will tell you what is possible before anyone pays.

Planning a trip to Mashhad?

The dates, the number travelling and anything that cannot move. We will come back with options for the whole party.
