A ziyarat is group travel with fixed dates, which is the hardest kind there is. Everybody wants the same days, the cheapest seats on those days go first, and a party of twelve rarely fits on one fare.

Our desk has booked pilgrimage parties out of Dubai for years. We start from the dates that cannot move, work the seats for the whole group, and keep one person on the file until everybody is home.

What the desk does for a ziyarat

Mashhad, from Dubai

For the shrine of Imam Reza — on Mahan Air, whose General Sales Agent we are, and other carriers.

Najaf, for Karbala too

Najaf is the usual airport for both cities. The route has its own page with the fares last found.

One fare for the whole party

Seats held and worked for the group, rather than nine bookings at nine different prices.

Hotels and transfers if you want them

We can add the hotel and the airport transfers, and put the whole trip in one file.

Planning a group ziyarat

  1. 1

    Fix the dates first

Arbaeen, Muharram and the holidays fill quickly. Tell us which days cannot move and which can.

  2. 2

    Count the party

The exact number, and the ages of children and infants — they price differently.

  3. 3

    Collect the passports

Names exactly as printed, and the validity date of each. Check the entry rules for every nationality in the party.

  4. 4

    One person decides

Group fares expire. Choose who can say yes before the quote arrives.

Questions we get asked

Which airport do I fly to for Karbala?

Najaf is the usual choice for pilgrims visiting both cities; the journey on to Karbala is by road. Ask the desk if your party plans something different.

Can you arrange the visas for Iraq or Iran?

We process UAE visas ourselves. For entry to other countries we work through partner agencies and will tell you plainly which you are getting. The rules depend on each traveller’s nationality.

How early should a group book for Arbaeen?

As soon as you can fix the numbers. The cheapest seats on those dates go first, and a large party needs more of them than anyone else.

Can everyone in the group pay separately?

Often, but it depends on the fare and the airline. Raise it early and we will tell you what is possible before anybody pays.

Tell us about the journey

The city, the dates that cannot move and how many are going. We will come back with options for the whole party.
