What personal information we hold, why we need it, and what we do to keep it safe.

01Who is responsible for your data

AL JAZIRA TRAVELS & TOURISM L.L.C. in Dubai decides how the personal information collected through this website is used, and is responsible for looking after it. You can reach us using the details at the end of this page.

02What we collect

We collect only what a booking actually requires:

  • Your account details: name, email address and phone number.
  • Traveller details for each booking: name, title, date of birth where the airline requires it, and passport number and nationality where the route requires them.
  • Booking records: itineraries, ticket numbers, invoices and the history of any changes or refunds.
  • Payment records: the amount, currency and outcome of each payment, along with a reference from our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number.
  • Basic technical information your browser sends, and the language you chose, so the site works and remembers your preference.
  • If you reached us by clicking an advertisement or a link, a note of which advertisement or campaign it was, so we can tell which of our advertising is worth paying for.

03Why we need it

Almost all of it exists to perform the contract you entered into: to issue a ticket, an airline must receive the traveller's name and, on many international routes, passport details. Payment records exist because we are required to keep proper accounts and issue tax invoices under UAE law.

We also measure which of our advertising leads to a booking. That is a count of bookings and what they were worth, not a profile of you: we do not build advertising profiles about our customers, we do not target you based on what you searched for, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

04Who else sees it

Your information is shared only with the parties needed to deliver your trip:

  • The airline carrying you, and the reservation system used to issue the ticket.
  • Our payment processor, to take payment and handle any refund.
  • Government and border authorities where a destination or transit country requires advance passenger information by law.
  • Our professional advisers and auditors, where they are bound to keep it confidential.
  • Where we advertise on Google or Meta, those platforms are told that a booking was made, its reference, its value and the route — so that we can see which advertising paid for itself. Your name, email address and phone number are not included in that report.

05Information leaving the UAE

Air travel is international by nature. When you fly, the airline and the authorities in your destination and transit countries will receive the details they require, and those countries may have different data protection rules from the UAE. Booking a flight necessarily involves that transfer.

06How we protect it

Passport numbers are encrypted before they are written to our database and are never returned by our website or our public interfaces. Card numbers never touch our systems at all; they go straight to our payment processor.

Access to booking records is limited to staff who need it to serve you, and administrative access is logged.

07How long we keep it

Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for as long as UAE accounting and tax law requires. Traveller details that are no longer needed for an active booking or a legal obligation are removed. If you close your account we keep only what the law obliges us to retain.

08Your choices

You can see and correct your account and traveller details at any time from your account pages. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not obliged to keep. Write to us and we will respond.

09Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all of them necessary for the site to work. One keeps you signed in. One remembers whether you chose English or Arabic.

No advertising or analytics company places anything in your browser through this site: we run no advertising pixel, no tag manager and no third-party tracking script, so nothing here follows you to other websites.

We do keep two things in your own browser's storage for up to 90 days: a note of which advertisement or campaign brought you here, and a random identifier we generate ourselves. They are read only by this site, and only to connect a booking to the advertising that led to it. Clearing your browser data removes both.
