01Who you are contracting with
This website is operated by AL JAZIRA TRAVELS & TOURISM L.L.C., a travel agency registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Throughout these terms, "we" and "us" mean the agency, and "you" means the person making a booking.
By making a booking you accept these terms on behalf of everyone travelling on that booking. Please make sure your fellow travellers know what you have agreed to.
02We are an agent, not the airline
We sell air tickets as an agent for the airline that will carry you. The contract of carriage is between you and that airline, and the airline's own conditions of carriage govern the flight itself: schedules, delays, denied boarding, baggage handling, and what happens if a flight is cancelled.
The fare rules attached to your ticket are set by the airline, not by us. We link to the airline's own fare conditions page on every search result and at checkout so you can read them before you pay.
03Prices, taxes and currency
All prices on this website are shown and charged in United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED). The price you see on the results page and at checkout is the total for every traveller on the booking, with all taxes and airline surcharges already included. There is nothing added at the end.
The fare breakdown on each result shows exactly what makes up the price. Government taxes and airline-imposed charges are passed through at the amount the airline levies, itemised by the airline's own codes. The remainder is the fare, which includes our fee for arranging the booking.
Airline fares change constantly. When you select a flight we hold the price for thirty minutes while you complete the booking. If that hold expires, or if the airline changes the price before the ticket is issued, we will show you the new price and you can accept it or walk away at no cost.
04Making a booking
Each traveller's name must be entered exactly as it appears in the passport they will travel on. Airlines do not permit name changes on an issued ticket; correcting a misspelling usually means cancelling and rebuying at the fare available that day. Please check the spelling before you pay.
A booking is confirmed only once the airline issues the ticket and we send you the ticket numbers. Until then the booking shows as awaiting ticketing. In the rare case that the airline declines to issue after payment, we cancel the booking and return everything you paid in full.
05Paying
We accept payment by card. Your card details go directly to our payment processor and are never stored on our systems. We place an authorisation on your card when you book and capture it when the ticket is issued, so you are only charged for a ticket you actually receive.
You may also pay in part with loyalty points or travel-wallet credit where your account holds them. Any remaining balance is charged to your card.
We are registered for VAT in the United Arab Emirates and a tax invoice is available from your account for every confirmed booking.
06Changes and cancellations
Whether a ticket can be changed or refunded, and what it costs, is set by the fare rules of the ticket you bought. Cheaper fares are generally more restricted. Our Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how a refund is calculated and how long it takes.
07Passports, visas and health requirements
You are responsible for holding the correct travel documents for every country on your itinerary, including any country you merely transit. That means a passport with enough validity remaining, the right visas, and any health or vaccination certificates a destination requires.
Requirements change often and depend on your nationality. We are happy to help you check, but we cannot be held responsible if you are refused boarding or entry because a document is missing or has expired. Airlines do not refund a ticket in that situation.
08Baggage
The baggage allowance shown on each result is the allowance the airline quoted for that specific fare. Excess baggage, sports equipment and special items are charged by the airline at the airport under its own rules.
09Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for arranging your booking accurately and for handling your money properly. We are not responsible for the operation of the flight itself, which is the airline's obligation under its conditions of carriage and the international conventions that apply to air travel.
If a flight is delayed, cancelled or rescheduled by the airline, we will help you claim from the airline and rebook where we can, but any compensation is owed by the airline.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates.
10Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend an account we believe is being used fraudulently, and we will always tell you why.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
